2014 Summer Festival Schedule of Events  

2014 Summer Festival Sponsorship

The 31st Annual Washington Summer Festival is June 13th and 14th.  Come out with your families and enjoy great music, rides, local vendors and more.  Dockdogs will be across from Festival Park all weekend long.  The Festival kicks off Friday at 5pm and The Embers featuring Craig Woolard will start playing at 7:00pm with fireworks ending the festivities at 9pm.  We start again on Saturday at 10am with more Dockdogs, rides, vendors and more.  Saturday night come out and here Kos, CAPS, and the Mickele Buck Band.

  Ambassadors: Chamber Recognizes Local Business Ambassadors  

The two are Chamber ambassadors, two of many representing the Chamber by welcoming new businesses to town, recruiting new members and attending chamber events, among them ribbon cuttings and Chamber “after hours,” and recognizing business owners in the area who, like them, go out of their way to make their community better. They pitch in where needed, going so far as to set up for events and even making side dishes to take to Chamber gatherings.

  Awards Announced at Annual Banquet  

Members of the Washington-Beaufort Chamber of Commerce came together last night for its 112th annual banquet at the Washington Civic Center.

At the banquet, Catherine Glover, executive director of the Chamber, welcomed all members and guests and a dinner catered by Ann Martin with the Meeting Place in downtown Washington was served. The banquet is held each year to celebrate things that have happened in the past year, as well as to hear about and look forward to things that are coming up in 2015, Glover said.
